Professor Nicholas Casewell is the lead scientist at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) developing new snakebite therapies and designer & curator of the School’s venom transcriptome & proteome database. He will provide oversight of this aspect of the ADDovenom research.
Professor Casewell is a Wellcome Trust Research Fellow and Deputy Head of the Centre for Snakebite Research & Interventions at the LSTM. He is an internationally a recognized expert in the fields of toxicology, venom research and snakebite treatment, as evidenced by over 70 publications he has written on these topics over the past ten years, a number of which appeared in major scientific journals such as PNAS, Nature Communications and Current Biology.
